Shawn Beqaj, Vice President, Public Affairs

As Vice President of Public Affairs for Bresnan Communications, Mr. Beqaj oversees and implements corporate communications and is the point of contact for public relations, government affairs and community development matters.

Mr. Beqaj joined Bresnan in 2006 from the National Cable and Telecommunications Association in Washington, D.C. where he served as Director of Association Affairs. In that role he was responsible for communicating national cable legislative and regulatory agendas to state associations and industry executives and was the industry liaison to various intergovernmental associations including The American Legislative Exchange Council, National Conference of State Legislatures and the National Governors Association.

Prior to NCTA, Mr. Beqaj worked for Cablevision Systems Corporation in New York where he managed the franchise process for the eastern Long Island region. His legislative experience is comprised of state and federal positions including Legislative Assistant for New York State Assemblyman Phillip Boyle, Communications Director in the New York State Assembly and Communications Director for New York Congressman Rick Lazio.
